But, did you know when it was first used? Ancient Greece witnessed the first trend in hats. It was a very practical garment designed to protect us from inclement weather, sun or rain. So, although the first “fashion” for this accessory began in Greece, in northern latitudes, many years ago, hats were already being made to cope with colder temperatures. In warmer climates, hats were made from straw or reeds.
