Cloche hats and straw hats
The hats are very wide and flexible wing hats, with generally low cups and only used by women. In the thirties, Coco Chanel, who started as a hatbox before she started sewing, sets a trend with her straw hats and her canotiers.
The cloche hat is a feminine hat, hemispherical cup, cylindrical body and the minimum. Designed by Caroline Reboux, it was the predominant female hat in the 1920 decade.
